I Fought the Law, and the Law Won, But When the Plane Goes Down I'll Remember Where the Love Was Found

Stolen from the Sunday NYT from an article titled: Art Born of Outrage in the Internet Age.

A.J. Liebling famously commented that freedom of the press belongs to those who own one," said Mike Godwin, legal director of Public Knowledge, A First Amendment group. " Well we all own one now"
Not so fast- In China-------> Afterall, we're like almost China. Got this from the Zenformation Professional who happened to leave a comment in my last post. I got nothing but a lot of studying and worse poetry so I will spare you all. I can't help it with the Jason Mraz Lyrics, that stuff is stuck in my head, intercepted by an occasional round of Teenage Lobotomy , Sexual Healing( the original), and I fought the Law( The Clash version) meandering in now and again. Cindy looked extremely happy today as they hauled her off to jail. I say good for her for doing it; if only to bring more publicity and to really piss off people who are going to say she is just doing it for publicity and her time in the sun; she is doing this time for her son and for the sons and daughters of others. Braking rocks in the hot sun I fought the law and the law won I fought the law and the law won The Clash As the students sit discussing politics, dissing Cindy Sheehan, but saying there glad they aren't fighting in this baseless war all while trying to find just the right song on their new ipod as they drink their Starbucks mocha friggin, ( somene said I used the word fuck too often and I should save it until I actually can use it as a verb), cold thing that makes their teeth hurt. The law dont mean shit if youve got the right friends Thats how the countrys run Twinkies are the best friend Ive ever had I fought the law And I won Dead Kennedys Oh and whoever it is out there who tries to sell jersey sheets to college students, you ought to be condemned to a life of jersey sheet-dom; this means you will forever be sleeping on sheets that do not allow you to slide anywhere and you will have to shuffle, more like pull, yourself around your bed every night for eternity. You can now link to me using either of the buttons I have further down on the right. I can't generate code here but if you want the code I can email it to you or you can copy and paste the button and do it yourself. I was sitting on some very cool/ humid steps for an hour and had nothing to do. Leigh: gotta love these geeky lyrics
Hey baby look at me go From zero to hero You better take it from a geek like me I can save you from unoriginal dum-dums Who wouldn't care if you cum...........plete them or not
keep your tongue in your cheeks children

Woohoo, I'm first.

I saw footage of Cindy. I was proud of her for smiling while they carried her away. Good dead weight position. Anything to piss off the idiots is good.

Happy End Of Monday Hug for you tonight. And please keep your hands above the waist. I'm not that kind of a boy.

I'm putting your button in my livejournal even though I know you think livejournals are the slums of journal land.

I thought Cindy looked pretty cool.

Eventually they will get to the internet here too. You wait.

I liked your poem.

My roommate listens to Mraz and that last cd is addicting even though it is not my usual stuff.

The Dead Kennedy's

Where are they when we need them.

i don't declare it like i wouldn't declare blood money, but i like mraz's stuff, too. there's a lot to be said about banning content on the web, but by golly, it does show maybe this civilization is regressing. the way empires did before their final collapse.

sorry, i have remnants of monday's morbidity. study well.

I'm sick of people insulting Cyndi Sheehan. She's speaking out for a fundamental right that her son, a soldier in a volunteer army he may have been, was wrongfully deprived of: the right not to die in an unjust war.

The people who try to ban web content will be the first with their backs against the wall when the revolution comes.

Speaking of which, one can't truly appreciate the English language and still be opposed to idiomatic usage of the word "fuck." Especially if the words surrounding it are as eloquent as yours. (idomatically)Fuck the haters.

Jersey sheets seemed like such a good idea at the time... fuckers.

Dammit... now I'm going to have to get buttons... and update my blog... you see what you've started?

I offer you a hug as well but I have to admit, I am that kind of guy ;)

pansi's acting up today!

I was just thinking about the Dead Kennedy's the other day--really

and to everybody who says that Cindy Sheehan (but not pansi, maybe) is attention grabbing, and disparging the good name of her son, Casey--who the hell would have heard of Casey before his death?

She would much rather have him alive and not known; but since he did die in a stupid ego driven war, she's letting the world know he did live.

Of course if I had a son or daughter who died for a Bush--well they'd be killed first, but I would probably have chained myself to a recruitment station first, and worked my way up from there.

Recruitment station because of the no child left behind act which makes recruitment in high schools mandatory

leave no child behind; if the government helps kill them--how can they be left behind.

Sorry Cooper I'm in a fighting mood, and you had to mention one of the archetype 80's groups

I'm going to agree with the sentiments of the majority here on the Sheehan thing.

I agree with the esoteric guy about your often eloquent use of the word fuck.

The Dead Kennedy's, a good time to bring them up.

Nice buttons but I miss the animated butt icon.

May our internet remain free for ever.

woo hoo I'm last.

I do think that potentially they could ban all content they do not like. They are going to start with porn and go from there, just watch.
I enjoyed the look on Sheehans face.

Like the icon things but you really don't want your face plastered all over the place do you? With all the privacy issues you have.

The Clash - I'm gonna dig them out now its been a long long time.

Wombat: Indeed those jersey sheets really piss me off.
Yes you should update your blog and I believe you probably are that kind of guy as all guys are " that kid of guy".
Panzeee: Go to bed.

Pia: I know I know
Joe: Amen

John: " privacy issues sounds like something that therapy would help ya think.

God I love the Clash! You know Alice...I do like Jason Mraz...very catchy! hehehe

Good for Pansi for speaking her mind, she too has a right to voice her opinion, even if it does oppose most comments on this blog. Can't let the political masturbation get too out of hand! lol

More surf, less politics. ;) And more Mraz for Alice!

Hey, if Jason Mraz is where your bliss derives from, Cooper, then so be it. I love lyrics, especially when other people turn me onto some particularly insightful ones.

I like The Clash too.
Dead Kennedy's also brings back memories, some better to forget.

Politcal masturbation can get out of hand at times but I notice no real politcal masturbation here I don't mind seeing a twenty year old write about things other than whatever twenty year olds usually write about. Alice seems to cover a lot of ground.

I don't think I know a thing about jersey sheets.

Funny, it just struck me that the commenter above called you cooper and most people call you alice. Is it Alice or Cooper. :)

If I may . . . I would like to call into contrast the political protests of the past, and those of today. Many of today's left leaning people are compared to the hippies of the 60's and 70's, and the anti-war movement of the time. At that time, the mistake was made of blaming the soldiers in the war for the war. They were either volunteers who wanted to protect their country and have a pension to help them out when they retired, or they were draftees who were simply obeying the law.

Today, we know it is not the fault of the individual soldier (except in some cases like Abu Graib), it is the leaders who are perpetuating an unwinable war for unknown reasons. The protesters of today see this, and much like Cindy, are more interested on "Why isn't the gov't doing something to bring the soldiers home" than the hippie sentiment of fight the power through bad smells, drugs, and silliness. The hippies had their place. But we have since learned, you cannot blame soldiers for following orders.

There, I have preached, and must now return my rental high horse.

Peace, duuuuuuuuudes.

Leigh: heh heh, pansee needs a good over the knee spanking and you know that would hurt because when you're naked you're naked. I'm all for more surf, it is kind of hard to do in NYC this time of year to do that without recreational drugs.

MoJo: where your bliss derives from". I love that.

businessman: what do twenty year olds usually write about? That is a rather disparaging statement. I know what you mean.
Political Masturbation is a nice term isn't it.
That Alice Cooper thing was cute.

Coyote: very nicely put and peace to you too.

Leigh: :0

anony-chase- I prefer the non political form of masturbation and to answer the second question - no that's Green Day- a long time ago- when they were cooler and younger and masturbating a lot I guess.

Zydeco- here here

adios- class till from six to nine hope ya'll feel my pain.

My mother: when I was in college they didn't make the "regular students" take night classes. I don't think it is a safe thing to do in that city sweety maybe you should change your schedule. Do you want me to call them?

ha ha
