Silly ( Putty ) me.

Sometimes you just have to get away from the computer for a few days. I had Monday off and went snowboarding again then of course had work to do upon returning to the city.

I've been a little stretched lately and, like string cheese and silly putty, I only go so far. Silly putty of course goes further; I’m at more of a string cheese level right now but am working my way up the ladder of elasticity levels. Soon I will be in a more malleable form and then .... Oh, god then .... watch out .

Many things to consider these days and lots of decisions to be made; life just never stops happening. Why is that? I think that to be able to put life on pause for a few days with some kind of remote control contraption would he a nice . Robotman if you are listening… hell with perfecting a robotic vacuum cleaner we need a life remote control device. This device needs to allow for quick or slow pauses at least weekly.

I am adopting aliases to escape authority or is it recognition? Don’t know.

I will get to everyone’s journal over the next day I promise.

Until then I will try to answer the most profound questions of the day and you should too.

Are Homes getting too large and is there really a housing bubble?????

;)

Finally, and in reference and deference to Wombats post on Cream.......

I’ll wait in this place where the sun never shines; Wait in this place where the shadows run from themselves.

Love that song.

life remote control device

Yes, but are you are strong enough to give up the remote to someone else?

I have many aliases, but my favorite is mojo shivers. I'm seriously considering putting an end to all the pussyfooting around and getting my name legally changed to that.

Chrissakes, more people probably know me and call me by mojo than by my real name.

I love that song so much

As for the life remote control, I'm all for it. Especially if it has volume control.

Though now I think I'd be leaning on the fast-forward habitually :\

I'll sleep in this place with the lonely crowd
Lie in the dark where the shadows run from themselves

A Housing bubble? In high school I put together a mock technology magazine and one of the stories was "Man lives in bubbles" Giant bubbles that could be honeycombed together with other bubbles, and you lived in them. That's a housing bubble.

No bubble here; it's genuine growth. Did you know people were flocking to AL?
Sorry about your stretching. I prefer to think of the silly putty you as a ball: bouncing around, and remember how you can roll it over the comics or something and it will just pick up the newsprint?

I too wish for a pause button sometimes...other times, a fastforward. GLad you got to go snowboarding! Good luck on those aliases... I have a few of my own.

A pause button would do me good. I once saw a twilight zone episode where this chick had a magic necklace (I think) and she could freeze time. I always wanted to do that! And now, when I need it the most that always comes to mind. My kids don't let me sleep. If I had that pause button I would have a friggin' ball!

As for aliases, today, give me anything that is not "Mom" or a derivative thereof!

It must be something energetic... everyone I know seems to be in some form of slump... here's to some funkier less slumpy energy, MY GOD!

You mean like a Buckminster Fuller housing bubble?

Cream is awesome.

I'm overwhelmed that you like Cream. Worried about the slide into string cheese and silly putty metaphors but it does make the point quite succinctly.

Housing market here is questionable.

I've adopted the average alias; in real life of am way above.

Homes may be getting larger, but I don't want a large house. I love the book "The Not-So-Big House" all about small cottages and such. And my great aunt has basically told me I get her little house in her will. Which was a bit creepy for her to tell me.

zydeco: no of course not.

shayna: I enjoyed it, Cream - yeah.

robotman: thanks I'm on it.

mojo: you mean mojo is not your realname? :(

wombat: indeed , great song although I hadn't thought of it in some time. I've now played it nonstop for twenty - four. I'll settle for volume control.

indie: the question is would you want to live in one? Beehives are not my thing. lol

weirsdo: of course being silly putty allows you not only to stretch but absorb things with little effort. I'm not quite there yet. "Flocking to Alabama"???????
Cough Cough..choke. Of course I knew.

leigh: you certainly don't want to fast forward your vacation though.

mizzy bohem: freezing time would be nice better yet going back in time now that would be worth considering. I know we are all pathetic.

Doug: That wasn't exactly what I was thinking of but now that you mention it it's a better housing bubble.Well after I looked up what it was..which I don't appreciate having to do because I like to think I know everything.

bizman: way above what?

protagoras: You should have used silly putty.

coyote: or dangerous for her because you never know when your nephew is going to have a "crazy out of his mind" moment and go for the old rat poisin in the tea.

We all lead a string cheese - silly putty kind of life at some point.Better than getting kicked around like a soccer ball I say.

That housing question was merely a scarcastic bitchy rhetorical question wasn't it?

Haunted Houses need to be large to be haunted properly.

umm good song.

Alice: they were more like bubble hives. My teacher thought it would be a good idea. One of the other stories was Giant Robot Steps on Manhattan.

This may sound corny and cheesy, but it wouldn't be me if it didn't.

Gold is malleable too.

indie: bubble hive...bee hives...any kind of hive living is no go here...not a team player.

john: yup

sar: what's for dinner?

dan: you know I know that , I had a gold necklace of some sort years ago and I played with it all the time when I wore it finally bending it until it did break. It is malleable but it's breaking point is sooner than that of silly ptty. ;)

mizzy bohem: not you
