We want to really feel the feeling.Get Real! And we wont ever hit the ceiling.
Ridiculous, lay off it already "get real".
I use "get real" as I get emails every so often ( a lot lately... oh god what am I doing wrong), in real life too but we won't go there, which tell me to "get real". Get Real. WTF does that mean really. I guess "getting real" is better than "getting fake ". I'm totally not into getting fake. ( beware, incorrect use of adjective) So thanks. Who knows what is real and does anyone really care. I think that Margery Williams said it best in the Velveteen Rabbit:Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all; because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.I'm going to "get real" now. I have a class. The wind is blowing, it's going to get cold again, I have not eaten breakfast so my stomach hurts, I can't find that tube of purple stuff that I use to sort of straighten my hair and I have to decide if I am going to attend a pillow fight in Union Square tomorrow; can't get any more real than that. Have a great weekend.

you posted this right before i was going to comment on the last one so I didn't really get to comment except to note the dis you gave everyone and the pretty tight poetry of your comment.
I think it's is ridiculous.
I am getting real and I love the V Rabbit quote. never heard it.
Margery was a smart lady.
Hope your hair fares well without the purple stuff, and have fun at that pillow fight.
I'm partial to your last poetic comment on the previous thread.
That is real.
Pillow fights are fun; yea for the carnival of feminists.
Those photos I post at my blog are real. You're real. The mirror is real. Life is a three real picture.
I'm going to get real this weekend too and they should get real enough is enough.
It was a poetic comment you should have used it for your post.
I know how you feel.
The velveteen rabbit is a very sad story, we have a copy of it and man it is really a tear jerker.
That's a great quote.
The whole bounty cartoon thing... PLEASE!!!!
Oh, Alice! I forgot all about the Velveteen Rabbit! I loved that book... reminds me that I need to get it for my son.
I think you are as "Real" as they come! :)
Have a great weekend, sweetie! ;)
This may revoke my membership in the cool kids club, but I loved the Velveteen Rabbit.
Really.
Come-on, enough is enough already… or is it? That bomb-turban cartoon would seem to be an ironic depiction of the now real. Is this the real-deal or just the tip of the iceberg? I think the rest of the real is lurking beneath the surface for us. I have very mixed fellings on all of this. I am not very politically astute – I usually have my head in the clouds, or beneath the earth. I think the western hemisphere is misguided to project our politics values on the east. It is clearly failing. Select mockery of mid-eastern religious figures, seems mild in comparison to other satirical diatribes I have encountered directed at our own traditions and beliefs [I value such iconoclasm]. But that does not seem to matter in this case. This would seem to be a different animal. All that being said, I am not sure, to be sure, what the over-arching truth of it is… But I do feel sure that it is as real as any of our realities. It is our realities. It seems ridiculous [although not out-of-character... remember Salmond Rushdie?], but there it is staring us in the face. A classmate the other day, in philosophy of all places, was suggesting the solution was just bigger bombs; More carnage and more acceptable levels of civilian casualties, WWII-atomic- weaponry-style. He also went on to suggest that flame throwers and Agent Orange should be reinstated into current military use. I don’t know what should be more repulsive to me; protests and death threats over cartoons, or men who are charged with holding the deepest and truest revelations of western thought suggesting that we use nuclear weaponry to solve the problem. I guess all that is my longwinded way of saying, I don’t know – which is of course the most real to me.
Heh...cool
I'm not actually real.
I'm actually a TV sitcom character from a series that was a spin off pilot of Facts Of Life, but it didn't air....My life is actually a series of reruns with a very long thick hiatus.
Some chicks dig my hiatus.
Cooper if you were any more real, I don't know if any of us, who love you could take it--because then you would be phoney
Know that's not how it was meant to be interrpeted--but f--k them--trying to keep to the new language policy you seem to have
And it's freezing, freezing freezing
Great Velveteen Rabbit quote
So does that mean we're in Wonderland or not?
Pillowfight in Union Square? Please send pictures.
“because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand” I like that. Maybe it is true. I hope so.
Rock on!
Hey girlie! Just droppin' to say hi...
The whole "get real" thing.. pfffff... don't know what to say... speak your mind, be yourself and fuck what anyone thinks... it's all subjective, depends on one's perspective and blah, blah, blah... you know the drill I am sure...
Pillow fight? Ooooh! Was gonna say kick some ass but... smack some ass instead! Kink-ay! ;-P
jake: no dis just a small poem I had to run.

bell: it is never clear, always muddled, we can only hope that one day things will become clearer to us. Sometimes it is all just too much.
bennet: I heard that some chicks are fond of guys with long hiatuses? I never for a moment thought you were real.
pia:yea really what happened to our good weather?
doug: That is for each of us to figure out on our own.
I would but I ditched the pillow fight and went to Camelback to snowboard on St Remy Martins weekend.;(
rexy: Of course it's true.
mizzy bohem: I hope you got your "real" internet back.
